Gong Grocer celebrated its first birthday on its very own supermarket shop floor in a unique and intimate setting.
In our World Square flagship store, we hosted a private dinner to give thanks to all our friends who have supported our journey so far, as well as to celebrate the Mid-Autumn Festival, a time to celebrate success, friends, family and unity.
The space was creatively reimagined for an intimate banquet table dinner, with a self service canapés feature set into the supermarket's fresh produce fridge. Decorative elements included fresh and exotic Asian fruits incorporated into floral centrepieces installed into the fridge and running along the table.
Hoang Nguyen, owner and founder of Eat Fuh spoiled guests with 6 courses of traditional Vietnamese food served in a modern and interactive presentation. This event also introduced Eat Fuh as the newest offering to our World Square location, in a soon to be opened takeaway tenancy in October 2024.
With flowing drinks and an “open bar” from our very own liquor store, we invited guests to experience our store as if it were their own pantry.
Special mention and thanks also go out to the Deputy Lord Mayor Robert Kok and Scott Yung, Liberal Candidate for Bennelong, who took time out to come and support the occasion.
Not to mention all the love and support from our many esteemed good friends:
Vivian Nguyen, Linh Nguyen, Brian Nguyen, Deputy Lord Mayor Robert Kok and Scott Yung
Thank you to our vendors, My Violet for the creative floral artistry, Khoa Nguyen for the amazing photography, Simply Seated for the furniture, and of course, our lovely staff at Gong Grocer World Square for setting up and resetting the supermarket space!
We look forward to the new challenges the next year brings, and to continue to work together with this amazing group of people to create value for our Asian and Australian communities.
